BRICS Digital Alliance of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BDACCI)
BRICS Digital Alliance of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (BDACCI) was created under the auspices of:
- the BRICS Business Council;
- the BRICS Energy Association;
- the Business Club of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
It is based on the decisions of BRICS country leaders and paragraph 80 of the Johannesburg Declaration of the 2018 BRICS Summit, including the memorandum on jointly studying the prospects for using distributed ledger technologies (blockchain) and digital technologies.
Why was the Alliance created?
Since its creation, BRICS has set one of its key objectives as strengthening mutually beneficial economic cooperation between BRICS and BRICS+ countries.
For many years, the main platform for such interaction has been the annual BRICS summits, where the most important issues of trade, investment and international partnership are discussed.
However, these events take place only once a year, which objectively limits:
- opportunities for continuous coordination between business communities of BRICS and BRICS+ countries;
- the search for new partners, development of joint projects and expansion of international business ties;
- effective implementation of initiatives and decisions adopted at BRICS summits.
To address this challenge, we created the BRICS Digital Alliance of Chambers of Commerce and Industry as a digital space for continuous interaction between chambers of commerce, exporters, importers, investors and entrepreneurs from BRICS and BRICS+ countries.
The platform is an effective tool for establishing new business contacts, finding reliable partners, promoting commercial initiatives, attracting investment and developing international cooperation between countries in 24/7 mode.
